Set of six original "Dinkee" cocktail spreaders, made in Montreal by the Glo-Hill Co. in the 1950s. These are the small knives meant for spreadable appetizers, cheeses, fruit, jams, or buttering bread.
Each blade is stainless steel, stamped with the Dinkee shield logo and "Made in Canada" — exactly as seen in your photo. The handles are genuine marbled Catalin (early Bakelite) in warm butterscotch with caramel swirls; no two are identical, which is the charm of these pieces.
• Maker: Glo-Hill, Montreal, Canada, 1950s
