Papier d’Armenie was created in Paris in 1885, a few years before the Eiffel Tower was built!
The idea came to August Ponsot from a trip to Armenia, a country where benzoin resin derived from the bark of trees was used to purify the air. August, along with Pharmacist Henri Rivier created their own recipe by dissolving the resin witch alcohol then soaking on blotting papers.

Armenie Blue: Myrrh, Sage, Lavender + Cedarwood
Instructions: Booklet comes with 36 Strips. Tear off a strip and fold into an accordion. Light it and blow out the flame. Leave it in a heat proof dish and enjoy the ethereal fragrance that will fill the room! Can also be used without burning to perfume cupboards and drawers.
