Beautiful Estate Find - Victorian Antique 9k Gold Locket with Enamel Surround and the Words “Remember Me” on the front.
The front of the locket has beautiful enamel depiction of a piece of paper with the words "Remember Me" in gothic font, surrounded by a wreath of leaves and flowers, potentially roses.
Dating from the late Victorian era of the 1890's, this locket has the most gorgeous enamel front that not only has a beautiful floral scene, but a lovely sentiment. With gorgeous engraving on the front, this is followed on with more hand engraving on the back showing how much attention to detail went into making this gorgeous locket all those years ago.
The case is a 9ct rose gold back and front locket meaning that it has a solid plate of rose gold that was pressed over a metal to allow it to be strong enough to hold the photos inside and also is beautifully hand engraved.
