A beautiful piece of history for your morning shelf.

This antique Victorian mug features a bold teal transferware floral - large painterly peonies with delicate sprigs and starbursts, typical of English Staffordshire aesthetic movement pottery circa 1880-1900. A stunning blue-green that photographs green in some light, teal in others.

The soft white ironstone body has that perfect timeworn patina we love, with its elegant scrolled handle and slightly tapered form. Wonderful as a coffee mug, but even better as a brush holder, pencil cup, or for a small posy of dried flowers on open shelving.
