Rare antique advertising pie funnel from The T. Eaton Co. Limited, China & Glass Department - Toronto & Winnipeg.
This little white ironstone beauty is "The Improved Popular Pie Funnel" - placed in the centre of a pie to vent steam and keep the crust light and flaky.
Classic Eaton's store advertising with wonderful crazing. A perfect piece of Canadiana for a kitchen shelf, collector of pie birds, or Eaton's memorabilia.
Early 1900s. In good antique condition with all-over crazing to glaze, consistent with age. No major chips - see photos.
It was made in Stoke-on-Trent, England by Grimwades Ltd. (later Royal Winton) for Eaton's.
