A stunning, early primitive A-frame tool carrier with incredible age and patina.
This is a true survivor piece - likely late 1800s to early 1900s, hand-built from thick, rough-sawn wood with mortise construction, hand-forged nails, and a beautifully worn dark finish that only comes from 100+ years of use. Originally used as a farrier's nail tote / cobbler's shoeshine box / carpenter's caddy.
The unique form features a lower open trough and two upper divided boxes joined by a turned wood handle for carrying. The wood is deeply textured, dry, and rugged with wonderful imperfections, saw marks, and age cracks.
