19th Century mining crucibles found at an abandoned mining site in Cobalt, Ontario.  Originally made in Battersea, England in 1870.

These small pottery bowls have been used since ancient times as a container for melting or testing metals.  The word “crucible” were probably so named from the Latin word Crux, “cross” or “trial”.

They range in colour from pale yellow, blue and green.

Great for collectors of antique pottery or use to burn your incense in.

Measure:  2 1/2”d x 1”h
