This antique French rosary features rare foiled glass beads in the softest watery blue, with four deep cobalt glass Paters. The light catches inside each oval bead where the old mercury foiling has faded to a dreamy, ethereal glow - a detail only found in early 19th-century rosaries.
Fitted with a beautiful Sacred Heart of Jesus center medal in ornate filigree and a substantial gilt brass crucifix with floral crown details.
The colour is incredibly hard to find - like sea glass, or faded hymn book silk.
