A Victorian, steel bread knife with a carved wooden handle. The handle is nicely carved with ears of wheat. It dates from c.1880. It is in good condition and marked Perigo Bros. Sheffield. Perigo Brothers, Sheffield, England) were noted 19th-century cutlery manufacturers based in Sheffield. By 1876, John Perigo was producing a wide range of table cutlery, including knives for everyday use.
