This is an original No. 3-A Autographic Kodak Model C, made by Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester, NY between 1914 and 1924. What makes this one special: it’s fitted with a Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. lens — a higher-grade option that Kodak offered on its better models.
The folding bellows design, pebbled black leather case, and polished nickel hardware give it serious presence. The Autographic feature let photographers open a small door on the back and write notes directly onto the negative with a metal stylus — Kodak’s clever way to caption photos before digital existed.
This model shot “postcard” sized 3¼ x 5½ negatives on 122 roll film. Film is obsolete, so we’re offering this as a collectible and display piece.
