MYRRH + FRANKINCENSE: In the Christian tradition, the star of Bethlehem guided the Three Wisemen to baby Jesus and brought with them offerings of gold, myrrh and frankincense. Myrrh and frankincense (aka olibanum) are two precious resins that are extracted from bushes found in tropical arid regions. The resin is collected from incisions made on the tree bark. The «Myrrh and Frankincense" soap is made with these two precious and sacred notes.
- ORANGE AND SPICES: The orange as a symbol of Christmas gift-giving came to be at the end of the twentieth century when a shift toward a more commercial celebration changed our habits. Before its association to Christian tradition and gift giving, the persistant nature of evergreens symbolized rebirth after the winter solstice. The Fir Balsam and Blackcurrant soap mixes the characteristic odour of the fir tree to the high pointed fruity notes of the blackcurrant to push and prolong the fresh woody aspects of this beloved tree
