This is a classic late-19th to early-20th century white ironstone pitcher, featuring a softly scalloped rim, molded vertical fluting, and raised wheat sheaf and swag (garland) decoration around the shoulder and near the handle. The glaze has a warm, creamy white tone rather than stark white, which is typical of older ironstone. Substantial weight and utilitarian form suggest it was made for everyday table or dairy use rather than purely decorative purposes.
Unmarked examples like this were commonly produced in England (and sometimes North America) between c. 1880–1910, often sold as part of matching wash or table sets. The wheat motif was popular and symbolized abundance and hospitality.
