A striking early 20th-century Canadian tea tin from The Ocean Blend Tea Co., Toronto. Lithographed in bold red, black, and cream with a classical Greek-key border, this tin features a steamship vignette symbolizing overseas tea trade and prominently advertises Indian & Ceylon Tea—a popular blend during the height of British Empire tea importation.
The graphics are strong and highly decorative, with period typography and rich colour saturation still visible beneath honest wear. The tin shows authentic patina, surface scratches, and scattered paint loss consistent with age and use, all of which add to its visual appeal rather than detract. A wonderful example of early Canadian grocery and advertising ephemera.
Ideal for display, shelf styling, or as characterful storage in a kitchen, pantry, or shop vignette.
